TRAINING DAY IN HOTHAM

Good training day today in Hotham, for the FIS SBX. The course is really long compare to the past years with lots of rolls. The start is bit tecnical but look like everyone like the course. 

Tomorrow will be the 1st race and then sunday the 2nd race.

Lots of athletes from overseas and lots from Buller.

Another day another training

Another good early morning training on Shakeknees, fantastic sunrise, perfect snow condition. Not mutch space so I could't set up one GS course training, insted I have decided to set up a slalom, quick but smooth.
First run some of the athletes had some trouble to manage the rithm, but then after some help on how to run trhu one thigt course all of them start to show some improvement, even for those one who find really hard doing gates.
Charlotte and Uberto join my group this weekend coz Mane witht the other kids is still in Hotham.
Max did well in the gates and finally Ash's hard board arrived from overseas so she could try gates on raceboard. Tash as always super aggressive in the gates, Julia had some probleme with the edge ( fresh from tuning ) but she has a good sensibility in the foot so she managed really well. Grace at the beginning bit stuck in one position but than she start working more with the upper body and did well.
I saw aswell some good little skiers comming down on the course that Zusanna set up near my cours. Ruphert Kudelka super aggressive with a really good line, I'm sure he will became a good skier.

The day after we did a free skiing, and we start training on boardercross, finally we have somthing that look like a BX course where we can train on. We try 1 by 1 then 2 by 2 then 3 togheder and then 4 togheder.
Uberto was super fast he went down flyng on the course, and in one roll he lose the control falling a bit and scratching his face :) just a little scratch but he look cool and aggressive with that heheheheh.

In the afternoon we went in the snowpark to hit some box and do few jumps, good fun, Ube tryed to do one 180 and he nearly closed.
We went to koffler and Ive ask tha skipatrol to cleen his chik with some disinfection liquid.
Looking forward to next training in BX :)

Racing days...

The day before every race everyone is running up and down to the Raceclub Hutt, guess why..... WAXING SKI AND BOARD hahahahahah
So funny we have like 50 pair of ski inside Raceclub and all the coach working downstairs on making the fastes ski and board for the next days. Its like a factory, music is on making jokes to eachothers, all the funny things u can immagine. Its a really nice and funni times when we are all togheder, and the best part is after the waxing time .... PIZZA TIME !!!! and beer time ( exept for Francesco... orange juice for me hahahahha )

The day of the race few of the coaches Chris, Browne, Micheal, for the skiers and Francesco and Mane for the snowboarders, went up to Little buller in the dark at 6AM to set up the course. Readi at 7 for the insepction.
Stooooong wind the day of the race so all the coach and race departement decided to do only one run and then home.

The presentation at the Abom where all the athletes and the parents participate was relly nice.

Training days

Few days of training, on the raceboard getting ready for the races on the weekend, snow still good but we need need neeeeed snow in Buller otherwie we cant build the BoarderX.....

Grimus cup in Bourke street, was good fun, funny course with different stuff to do.

Early morning gates training

Early morning, with gates training for ski and snowboarder. Wake up still dark outside the window. I've looked the sky, full of star, yesssss get my camera backpack with Elena's super high speed/quality lens for sports shots. Walked up to the Race hut, meet all the other coaches, organized the radio and the gates and then on our way to Shakey Knees run. Got some snow over night, about 3cm of fresh powder... just fantastic, and then the sunrise amaaaaazing. Toked 1087pictures today ahahhahaha Great shot @ skiers and riders.
And tomorrow again hopefully sunny again....
